Twitter Account Activity API example (practical path)

Official AAA examples assume enterprise access and CRC. If you only need “when @handle tweets, call my webhook,” this walkthrough uses XFlux monitors — product overview at /twitter-account-activity-api.

Example stack

Free account → 1 monitor on @FederalReserve (or your KOL) → Slack Incoming Webhook URL → Test → upgrade for live.

No CRC handshake

You do not implement X’s Account Activity CRC. Custom servers verify HMAC instead — /verify-twitter-webhook.

Same key for backfill

Pull timeline/search with the REST API while monitors cover always-on alerts.

Copy this example

  1. 1

    Register and open Monitors

No card on Free. Create an API key if you also want REST/MCP.

  2. 2

    Add @username + keywords (optional)

Example keywords: "rate", "FOMC", "CPI". Leave empty to alert on every new public tweet.

  3. 3

    Attach webhook and click Test

Paste Discord/Slack/HTTPS. Confirm the test payload. Starter unlocks live monitor.hit.

Optional: backfill with timeline after a hit

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer xflux_YOUR_KEY" \
  "https://www.xfluxapi.com/api/v1/users/FederalReserve/tweets?limit=5"

FAQ

Does this replace official AAA code samples?
