FirstSquawk is an independent financial news / squawk service. Their public X account is https://x.com/FirstSquawk (also firstsquawk.com for paid audio/text products).

1. Point Slack or Discord at a monitor

Create a Slack Incoming Webhook (or Discord channel webhook) and copy the URL. Register free at /register?src=blog_firstsquawk — no card on Free.

Dashboard → Monitors → add username FirstSquawk (no @). Optional keywords for earnings-only noise control, e.g. earnings, EPS, guidance, beat, miss. Paste the webhook URL → click Test.

2. Add sibling squawk accounts when you need more slots

Free is one active monitor. When you need LiveSquawk, DeItaone, or Unusual Whales in parallel, upgrade for more monitor slots and live POSTs.

Do not poll search in a loop for from:FirstSquawk — a monitor is cheaper on quota and built for continuous watch. On-demand reads still use the same API key: /free-x-api.
